1st Annual Hoboken Mutzfest

On Sunday, January 20th from 2PM to 6PM at the Elk’s Club on 1005 Washington Street in Hoboken, be a crucial part of the first ever Hoboken Mutzfest. It is your first chance to taste and help name the best mozzarella in all of Hoboken, NJ.

Five Hoboken establishments– M&P Biancamano, Fran’s Deli, Lisa’s Deli, Vito’s Deli, and Losurdo Brothers Bakery–will compete to see who will be crowned Best Mozzarella of Frank Sinatra’s Hometown. Okay, maybe the award isn’t exactly called that, but it should be.

There will be live entertainment and tickets are only $10 and free for children 10 and under. Tickets are available at the five participating businesses as well as at the Mutzfest website, www.mutzfest.com. While there, make sure to check out other news articles on Mutzfest, watch the NJ.com video on making mozzarella, and do some preliminary voting for the five competitors.

This is an amazing opportunity for Hoboken to showcase some of its best restaurants while also paying homage to Hoboken’s heritage and the great mozzarella dishes that come out of the Mile Square City. For anyone who loves the taste of fresh mozzarella, skip the early NFL game Sunday and head to Hoboken. You will be back in time for the New England game and you feel full and satisfied for it.
