Mayor Booker Matches Your Donations on Twitter

Cory Booker, the mayor of Newark and a presence on Twitter, took an offer from a Twitter follower to conduct an interview for a $250 donation to a charity raising money for Newark schools.
Booker not only matched the offer, but he also opened up his own Twitter charity fundraiser allowing people to pledge money to a Newark charity while matching each contribution.
The Twitter follower, @FF_TheFilm is travelling cross-country to meet strangers whose “online suggestions shape our daily lives” according to their Twitter page.
The first tweet was sent to Cory Booker at 4 minutes after 12 noon on Saturday July 7th and since then over 20 Booker’s followers have pledged anywhere from $20 to $100 each. Cory Booker has agreed to match every charitable contribution so far and the number is growing.
People associated with @FF_TheFilm are taking detailed notes and keeping track of the contributions.
If you want to help raise money, make sure head to Twitter and pledge. But, above all, make sure to ask @CoryBooker to match it.
